Seething Festival Performance Cancelled!

Sorry about this everyone but I’ve got this nasty bug that has been going around and I can’t play today! It’s a real shame, Beth and I were really looking forward to it.

Please assume Tuesday’s session is happening unless you hear otherwise.

Chris

Next Session 5/3/19

Hi all,

The next session will have an Americana theme, should be fun! Either the subject matter or the band will epitomize the good ol’ US of A.  Feel free to come in your stars and stripes…..

The set will be as follows….American Pie, Big Yellow Taxi, California Dreaming, C’est La Vie, Cigarettes and Whiskey, C’mon Everybody, Ghost Riders in the Sky, I Saw the Light, I Walk the Line, I’m a Believer, Jolene, Proud Mary, Rhinestone Cowboy, Sittin on the Dock of The Bay, Sloop John B, The Weight

If you haven’t been before all the details are in the pages above. Come and give it a go! And feel free to come back and join in again if you haven’t been for a while….

Seething Festival 3rd March

I have some details I can give you for this now (finally!)

The set list looks pretty good to me in alphabetical order ……  – Amarillo, Bad Moon Rising, Country Roads, Da Doo Ron Ron, Daydream Believer, Dedicated Follower of Fashion, Folsom Prison Blues/Pinball Wizard, Hey Good Looking, It Must be Love, Stuck in the Middle with You, These Boots are Made for Walking, Bring Me Sunshine (this maybe dropped in earlier if it starts raining….)

Bring pegs for the music and stands. Below is the relevant info I received from the organiser…..

If you could please arrive at least 30min before the start of your set.  We provide PA, mics, stands, DIs and basic backline if required (Drums, bass and guitar amp).
Site address: St Andrew’s Square,  KT6 4.
It is a short walk from the station and there is some parking available around the square which is free on Sundays.  (I wouldn’t rely on there being any parking spaces around the square, Chris)
Schedule:
14.00/14.30: Ariana Brophy
14.40/15.10: TBC
15.10/15.30: Sword Dancing
15.30/16.00: Procession
16.00/16.15: Story telling
16.15/17.00: Guitar and Uke Orchestra
I did ask what their provision was for rain and she said ‘We do have a gazebo that we can put over the stage as it isn’t covered. It’s quite low so we only put it up if really necessary. If the weather really takes a turn to the worst early on we may reconvene in The Lamb‘ (The Lamb is a nearby Pub)
