Update – Beth and I have got whatever lurgy that is flying about at the minute so think it is probably best if we cancel Tuesday’s session. The set list will carry over to next time (4th March).

Hi all, here is the set for the 18th with one new tune – ‘Gimme Some Loving‘. This was suggested and helpfully written out by Colin although I’ve changed the key to (E). It may require a couple of goes to get it right! The original was by Spencer Davis (in G) but if you want to practise in (E) you can play along with the Blues Brothers. We’ll try to do the hammond organ/brass riff on Kazoos…..

Hi everyone, here is the set for next Tuesday. It has one new tune called ‘San Francisco Bay Blues‘ which has been suggested to me a number of times, and I’ve finally got round to including it. You may not know it so here are links to a few versions – Eric Clapton, Peter Paul and Mary, and one by the original composer Jesse Fuller . Jesse was a proper one man band, in the video he is singing, playing guitar, bass and drums (with his feet), kazoo and harmonica!

THERE ARE A FEW TICKETS LEFT so if you know anyone who wants to come please let me know asap.

Things to remember…..

Bring your music in the correct order. I’d like to have half the folders on stage with us and then pass the other folders out to the audience so they can sing-a-long! Try to tune up with a tuner before we start, quite a few of us have one to borrow if you haven’t got your own one.

Feel free to sit or stand while we are playing, if you are standing don’t forget your strap! You will need your kazoo for ‘Ring of Fire’ too. (I have kazoos if anyone hasn’t got one yet).

Please bring £10 cash on the night as opposed to paying online for this session. Once the hall has been paid for we will donate the rest of the money to the charity there and then!

Feel free to come and play even if you haven’t played with us for a while, or you are new. The more the merrier.
