Hi everyone, here is the set for the 20th with two new ones!

Firstly we have ‘Autumn Leaves’ – there are loads of good versions of this but I particularly like this version by Eric Clapton so we will play it in that style….

Secondly, ‘You’ve got a Friend’, the two most famous versions I think are by Carole King and James Taylor

Hi everyone, here is the info about the gig.

We are on at 8pm for 30 to 40 mins. Beth and I will be aiming to turn up at 7 30ish, please arrive by 7 45 if possible so you have plenty of time to get organised.

Please come and play if you are free, the more of us the better! Even if you missed the rehearsal, or are generally a bit nervous/unsure of how to play the songs etc. It will be a fun no pressure performance to a friendly audience!

You can stand or sit as you wish. Bring your stand and music as normal but we will probably share on stage to save a bit of space.

I think there is on street parking on the Berrylands side of the pub.

Sad news….

I’m very sad to report that Barbara McCall, one of our members from the early days, has sadly passed away. She was a lovely person, always fun to be around and good company. On behalf of the group I’d like to send our condolences to her family.

They are mostly fairly straightforward sing-a-long tunes; we will pick the best 8 or 9 for the gig on the 28th.

Please remember if you can’t come to the gig you can still come on Tuesday, it will be pretty much like any other session. Also if you can’t come on Tuesday you are still welcome to play the gig, the more the merrier!

Hi everyone, a quick update before the year ends…..

We will back on the 9th January and are booked fortnightly until March 19th, and the gig at the Brave New World in Surbiton is on Sunday 28th.

Just to say, a number of you have asked me about playing gigs – I tried to arrange a charity xmas busk at Surbiton Station but didn’t get very far. Another time maybe! But I have been in contact with Maria (who has booked us for open mic nights in the past), and she is very keen to have us play on one of her Sunday night sessions at the Brave New World in Surbiton, so once we’ve found a date where we can get a decent amount of us out we can book it in……
