Set and info for the 14th September

Hi everyone!

Here is an update for next week.

I will do the setlist in a minute but just wanted to give you some info…..

There are 12 parking spaces in the church car park for people using the building and unrestricted street parking all around.

Please come to the door around the back on the left (Church Lane side).

We will start at 8pm but feel free to get there a little early as we’ll have to all sign in and set the room up. This will include wiping down the chairs etc. There should also be hand sanitizer there for everyone to use.

Please bring a music stand if you have one. If not you might have to prop your music up on a spare chair……

Here is the set list! There are a couple of nods to recently departed stars…..we will be using the same chord sheets as before so bring your music (I will bring spares of the old stuff and plenty of copies of the tune which is brand new to the group).

The next session is on the 29th, see the above menus for more info if you are new to the site. Come along and join in, it’s a good laugh and there is no pressure on anybody to get everything right.

Hi everyone

The next session is on the 22/1, usual time, usual place…..any potential new people just click the above links which will give you all the info. It’s very relaxed, if you know a couple of chords and fancy having a bit of a laugh playing through some tunes then come and try us out!

Next session and gig news…

Hi everybody

We have a gig booked! It is on the 27th March at the George Evelyn Open Mic Night in Long Ditton; I think we will be on at around 8 30.

I’ve got next weeks set for the group session (on the 20th) sorted out and the seven song set for the gig will come from it, so if anyone wants to do a bit of practise then they can. But the gig really is nothing to worry about for any of you who haven’t played before – not only is there safety in numbers but also the crowd who come to these nights are very friendly. And the word ‘crowd’ is an exaggeration.

Don’t worry if you can’t/aren’t sure about/definitely don’t want to do the gig – everyone is welcome to the session at the library as normal.

Hi everyone

The next session is on the 12th January. I haven’t decided which new tunes we will be doing but rest assured there will be some! At least you can put the Christmas stuff to the back of your folders for another 12 months.

Any new people  who have been give ukes or guitars as presents and are interested in joining – Come down! All standards are welcome. Even if you can’t play everything we do the group is good fun and will give you an incentive and some direction for practise.
